Overtaken

I wonder when I
will be over taken with my need for you
The weight of my fascination forcing me to my knees
in a desperate
desperation
Eyes blinded to all but yours
The longing
finally having driven me to measures unbecoming

When will frustration rule the moment
and find me
at capacity for want
Unfulfilled
and
unwilling to go another day

When will I be found
hands extended
pleading
in a grotesque display of foolish passion
A final
mad attempt to claim you
Grasping at the worn out scraps of favor
you deign to toss my way
and
gathering nary enough to fashion a veil of tattered pride
with which to mask my loneliness

When will my curses fly free
mingled with words of abject adoration
Leaving me to wander in
a blizzard of loss
A brutal winter of self imposed solitude

I wonder when
you will rule my day
When will I be
overtaken?
